Example 2: Find out the value of the x in the equation x^2 + 16 = 25.
Solution: The given equation is x^2 + 16 = 25 now on both the sides subtract 16 then we will get it as x^2 + 16 – 16 = 25 – 16 which is equal to x^2 = 9 now take square roots on both the sides then we will get it as x = square root (9) which is equal to +- 3.
